10.15.08Flash Player 10 is out, but I am disappointed.
Flash, Flex (0)So I was extremely excited this morning when Flash 10 dropped this morning. I am currently working on a project with carousel type component that needs to contain 2000 items, which is installed on 500,000 machines. Oh, and these 2000 items need to be 1/2 alpha at times and contain a reflection that matches their current state. So that means no faking the reflection...needs to be real time. So I download Flash Player 10, hoping to see huge performance enhancements for my component, ....D' oh! On Flash Player 9 my Mem Usage would top out at 450,000k on my machine now ...

12.05.07Flash 9.0.115.0 crashing my browsers.
Flash (0)So, I installed Flash player 9.0.115.0 yesterday afternoon and after a reboot of my PC this morning, well, both Flock and Firefox are crashing faster than fly on a horses _ss. Not quite sure what that means, but it was fun to say write. Anyway, it seems that any site with Ajax (javascript) crashes my browser when I try to navigate the site (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotmail, Gmail, Igoogle) Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe I just happened to catch a virus. I did upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.11 two days ago.

Flash (0)Wow! It has finally come true! Adobe Flash Player + HD! Adobe has announce that the latest Flash Player 9 updated will included H.264 standard video support. Is it just me or are those Flash opponents out there running out of things to complain about? 08.12.07One of my first flash experiments.
Flash (0)I was going through some of my old flash experiments and the only one I could find was this fake ad I created to try out some of the new features back in the day. In 2003, this file would cause even the best computers to freeze up due to the music file and some intense graphics popping in and out. I know the design was cheesy, but it was only for internal testing purposes. So here you go. In flash player 9 and my Mac handle this with no issues at all.
